The Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital

This amazing charity rescues, rehabilitates and releases wild animals in and around the county of Wiltshire. Last year they helped over 4,000 animals. They run a 24 hour a day service, and are open every day of the year. They are completely reliant on donations and volunteer support to keep running.

Their current hospital building has been their base for over 16 years and has far exceeded its capacity and utility. With the ever-increasing number of animals needing assistance and the wear and tear to the structure, they are in desperate need of a new hospital building. They have been so busy rescuing and rehabilitating animals that there has been no time to run a significant campaign or address the maintenance needed on the timber clad building.

After rescuing an injured deer in early 2020 and taking it to the hospital I was overwhelmed with the amount of animals they were caring for. After telling me of their need for a new hospital I offered my services for free to help with the campaign.

I haven’t looked back and consider myself a permanent member of the amazing team of people who work around the clock to help our wildlife in trouble.

Fundraising for WWH

I filmed, produced, directed and edited a fundraising film to head up the first campaign for the new hospital. We were extraordinarily lucky that the wonderful Dame Judi Dench agreed to act as figurehead for the campaign and has donated her time for free to help raise awareness. The film has been viewed around 80,000 on different platforms and featured within local and national media.

This film, combined with other activities, has raised the money required to not only construct a new building, but to completely renovate the existing barn.

Clearing work has already begun and we expect the build to start in June 2022!
